View Full Version : my oeupdmaker keeps on crashing!!!

hi, im a total noob to the whole firmware scene.

ive been trying to use dark alex's custom firmware
updater but when i go into oeupdmaker it reads the 150.pbp folder then crashes and creates a 0kb dxar
file.

is it the 1.50 firmware's fault or am i losing it?
help me guys!!!!!!:( :( :( :(

Do you have both updates eg

150.pbp and 340.pbp depending on what firmware you are going to

well, i have the 150 and 303, that what i want to update it to, does the 340 tonnes better?

well anyway, if you know what im doing wrong
please tell me

Are you even using the correct oeupdmaker I mean for the version you want to go to download a fresh version for 3.40 OE and use that instead

look man, i know im a nebie and all but i do think logically, of course i downloaded the correct one, i dont wanna make mistakes and kill my psp.

i got the 302oeA, 3.02FW and the 1.50FW

now what the heck am i doing wrong???:confused:

You just said you have 3.03...

lol,,, sorry, i tried the 303 first then went back to the 302,, sorry bout that

they both had the same result, i think it might be the 150FW

does anyone know where i can get another one from?
i got mine from psp-hacks.com.

i've got a european psp, does that matter?

Get it from QJ downloads dont have link to hand sorry. always reliable. Actually lol link to qj is in my sig duh@me

I know people who have updated to custom firmware and they didnt even have a clue what it was. Get to latest one which is 3.40OE there is something you are doing wrong read the readme again if you have even read it in the first place

Dont use the 3.02 OE installer, its a brick. well there is 2 of them and one of them is a brick!

Here (http://www.mediafire.com/?2mzqj5dyrni) is 3.40 OE N00b installer, very easy to use

okay, i've just tried the 340oea and yeah same thing happened..
i got the 150FW and the 340FW


okay, my psp is a white 2.71 version from australia

do i have to install the 340 fw first or something?

You can't upgrade from 2.71 to a custom firmware... Downgrade to 1.50 first..

ok, i found out my white psp is a TA082, lol gay


so i grabbed my first psp which was a 2.60 and downgraded it to 1.50, yay!

now im wondering if i should upgrade to 3.40 oe.

can i still play homebrew?

if not i dont think i will
