Need some help with IR Shell and 3.40 OE

I just recently installed 3.40 OE (using the Illuminati hack) and IR Shell 3.1.
I'm trying to load a UMD while listening to an MP3, but the UMD doesn't load, and what more, the system shuts off completely and doesn't turn back on until I flip the power switch two times.

I have the firmware running in 1.50 homebrew kernal mode; could this be the problem?

Any help would be appreciated :)

depends.
if the umd needs a firmware higher than 1.52 to run then yes that is the problem

otherwise try a full reinstall. if that doesnt work, then i dunno whats wrong

You can't launch umd's or iso's in irshell on OE fw's.

There's a supposed OE compatible irshell coming out so just wait.

In the mean time just use irsmp3.

...what are you talking about

1) as i said before UMDs that need 1.52 or less to run do work via ir shell
2) if you have a link to the post where ahman himself says he is definatly releasing a new ir shell, post it here. far as i remember, someone leaked a video of a private ir shell, but ahman was uncertain himself if he was ever going to make it public
