View Full Version : Can't Run PAL PS1 Games

(Using Custom Firmware 3.40 OE)

I've been burning some of my PS1 games to .bin files using Ultra ISO, and then using PSX2PSP to convert them to EBOOT files.

The problem is, though they'll show up fine in the menu, and start up, once the big 'PS' logo disappears, the screen stays black, and the games won't load any further than that.

I tried running an NTSC version of a game (Crash Compilation) and it works fine. Is there some way of getting my PAL games to work?

I've tried:
-Changing their code to the NTSC version
-Using the SLES 01222 code fix
-Changing between 1.5 and 3.40 kernels
-Changing the 'Fake Region' in the recovery section to 'Europe' and 'America'

Is there aything I've missed, or am I going to have to track down NTSC Iso's of all my games on the internet?

Main games I would want a fix for:

-Final Fantasy IV, V and VII
-Jersey Devil
-Pandemonium

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try this Pops converter: http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=60371
It works really good for me.
