Hi folks new to the forum and needing a little help.

I was loading Tiger Woods on my psp and followed the on screen update message.
Once this was completed the game would not play and now the complete PSP will not boot up even with charger the PSP is totally dead.

Can anyone help with this problem or shed any light on it.

Regards Elektron

It told you you needed to update, so you did, and now your PSP doesn't turn on?

You must of hae turned it off during update or it turned off during the update or ssomethign went wrong during update. Never heard of a sony update mesing up a psp but if it got turned off before it finished that would explain why it bricked on you

i had the same problem with my friends psp when i updated it to downgrade it and it bricked i didnt know how to break it to him. anyway.. since it was out of warranty it cost £50 in repair from sony but if you are in warranty or out, you should have no problem claiming since their official update bricked it

and no you cannot reverse a brick unless that jigkick battery comes out which i seriously doubt

Buy a new motherboard, get one from China wher the motherboard has a built in recovery mode!
