OK... a while back, I had archived my game saves onto an SD Card via a USB reader. To make a long story short, the card got accidentally formatted afterward.

The good news is that I was able to run recovery and retrieved most of my files... Only problem was that the PS2_MC_Backup_Attributes.BUP.bin files dià not survive. Any time I try to copy my files back to the MC using uLaunchELF, it just shows up as Corrupted Data on the MemCard in the PS2's browser.

Anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to recover from this? I tried transplanting the BUP file from a fresh save that DID show up in the browser into the archive save folder, but that didn't work. Oddly, it moved the 'cube' icon for the corrupted data from the top of the list to the end in the PS2 Browser... Must have been providing SOME info to the Browser.

Anyhow... all useful suggestions will be welcome.

PROBLEM SOLVED

....and it's a stupid solution.

Apparently, the PS2 is ridiculously case-sensitive with filenames inside save folders. ICON.ICO will not work, but icon.ico worked like a charm.

So, for example:

Folder: BASLUS-20312FF090606
File: BASLUS-20312FF090606
File: 01090606.ICO
File: ICON.SYS

won't work, but....

Folder: BASLUS-20312FF090606
File: BASLUS-20312FF090606
File: 01090606.ico
File: icon.sys

...can just be copied directly to the MemCard and read by PS2 Browser and Game alike. No converting to psu or anything else like that. Note that even the file extensions are case sensitive (01090606.ICO vs 01090606.ico), and that not all filenames are lower-case (as is seen with the BASLUS-20312FF090606 file)

Bottom line? HOORAY! I HAVE MY GAMESAVES BACK!
