I know this may sound like a noob question but can the Sony 8GB Memory Stick play Homebrew or can it only run PSX/PSP Games? (I read somewhere on here that the 4GB is the farthest you can go to play Homebrew)

I've heard people have had a lot of problems with the 8 gig in general, so I would just go with the 4. Plenty of space for me. :D

Nah, the 8GB had that problem because earlier firmwares did not support them. I think all the OE ones support them now.

the 8 gig will definitely have a higher latency making it slower but i have definitely heard reports of 8 gig not working with some homebrew 4 gig is plenty for anyone, 2 gig is enough for me

My 1 gig goes WAY faster than the 4gig, but I use the 4gig for more space.
