I'll cut to the chase

I used the GTA exploit to run homebrew, which was cool. That was the last i did.

A friend of mine downloaded Castlevania: Symphony and i wanted to try and get it to run on my psp.

I had 3.50 installed so i downgraded to 1.5 and installed the 3.30 OE-A custom firmware.

How can/can i run psone games on this firmware

I've looked through all the tutorials and guides but i cant find anything 3.30 OE-A related

I see people have 3.40 OE installed, should i upgrade? is it worth it?

Sorry if i'm being a n00b

I'd up to 3.40 just to be on top of things.

To play ps1 games, you'll need popstation. (Google icetea.)

But first you'll have to rip an iso/img/bin file (Either of the 3) with an iso ripper. I use MagicISO, but there are free alternatives.

In the end you should have a fairly large EBOOT.PBP. Put that in a folder titled with the game name, or id. Put the folder in PSP/GAME and you're set.

And no you're not a noob, everyone has questions.

Are you on r12?

The rom may be uncompatible.

I am on r12

I got:
Banjo Kazooie
Smash Bros
Mario 64

None of them work but play fine on PC

I don't think Banjo Kazooie works, but the other's run fine.

Make sure dynarec is on and frameskip is on 3 or 4, and limit framerate is on.
