Did you think about selling your Gamecube because there are not new games and official servers for the few online games? You don't need to do it, buy a Gamecube dialup or broadband modem and connect to the Gamecube online world!
We know official server for PSO and Homeland are offline sadly, but you should try the actual homebrew servers. Don't you want to enjoy the PSO games again with your friends around the world?
Well first of all, if you want to connect your Gamecube online, please read this guide (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=551005).

This is the list of online games with the servers running them:

Homeland (independent networking, read here (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=100819)) (Broadband only, not dialup)
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (Lordnikon server (http://gamecube.onlineconsoles.com/phpBB2/psoaccess.php))
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus (Lordnikon server (http://gamecube.onlineconsoles.com/phpBB2/psoaccess.php))
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (Schthack server (http://schtserv.com/))
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus (Schthack server (http://schtserv.com/))
Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution (Schthack server (http://schtserv.com/))

LAN games -also online games with Warp Pipe software(1)-:

1080° Avalanche
Homeland (read here (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=100819) how to do LAN with this game) (no Warp Pipe compatible)
Kirby Air Ride
Mario Kart: Double Dash

Official Internet Rankings:

Beyond Good & Evil (Homepage (http://darkroom.ubi.com/))
Frogger's Adventures: The Rescue (Homepage (http://www.konami-digital-entertainment.com/production/frogger2003/internetrank.html))
King Kong (Homepage (http://kingkong.ubi.com/))

Other Internet Functions:

Animal Crossing (2)

(1) You can play LAN-enabled games with the Warp Pipe software (http://cubeonline.warppipe.com/), but the speed will be very slow.

(2) In Animal Crossing, visit the shopkeeper, give him an object with the name and town of the person whom you want to give the object to and he will give you a password in return. Give the password to the other player and his shopkeeper will give him the object. The trading is enhanced by the differences between every town. At www.animal-crossing.com there is a newspaper of events in the Animal Crossing kingdom. Passwords are included that reveal secret objects in the game.

notes:
♦ PSO Episode I & II Plus was only released in the US and Japan. The other two PSO games were released on all the regions and every region is online.
♦ Gamecube dialup/broadband modems don't work on the Nintendo Wii, you can only use your Gamecube.
♦ If you use the Schthack servers with PSO Episode I & II or PSO Episode I & II Plus, you can play with Dreamcast and PC (not Blue Burst) players (on the levels from the episode I, of course).
♦ Homeland was only released in Japan.

No. Nintendo didn't allow support for these Gamecube games on Online mode.
If you try the games, it will ask you for the broadband/dialup modem. But these Gamecube accesories are not compatible with the Wii. And they only work with these two modems, so your only option is getting a Gamecube console.
