DS Doom

I can't get it to work on games n music . What do I need to make it work? When I tap standard, it just shows me our worst enemy, the black screen. I have all sorts of wad files and stuff.

Make sure your .WAD file is in the root and is named 'DOOM.WAD' - i.e. if it's DOOMU (or the shareware DOOM1) rename it to just 'DOOM.WAD'

I'm still new at this whole thing. Where's the root? I have DOOM.WAD.

What bothers me is when it keeps saying:
Check IWAD: IWAD tag/doom.wad not present

Above it says IWAD found: /doom.wad, though. DOOM.WAD is in the root of the folder (I know what root is now)

Come on! Can somebody give me some advice? I've worked days, and still no progress. Let me say where I'm at now. I have ds doom 1.1.1 (ever seen one?). I patched it many times already and I already tried 1.0.0 and 1.1.0. I haven't messed around with cfg. file yet, but I don't know what to do with it. My Quake DS works, but don't know why Doom doesn't.
