This is just a proof of concept. Nothing much to see here as all I've done is added a bunch of
weapons from Rex's Darkest Hour pWAD as well as a few textures.
I've also ripped the Death Star level from the old 90's pWAD for classic DOOM which
I've placed as level 3.
The Plasma Gun has been replaced by a Heavy Repeater from Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, though I
have yet to work on the DEH behavoir file, nor have I updated the projectiles or sounds for this
or any other weapon or enemy.

As I said, this is merely a proof of concept.

This is a self sustaining and free file based upon the FreeDOOM iWAD. All you need to do is back up your doom.wad file and replace it with this one.

Enjoy, and please remember this is just proof of concept, far from a finish project as I only
began this last night 7-12-07.

P.S. Notice the working BOOM conveyer belt! I have it blocked off, but I tested it and items and players are moved by it! So again I'm elated that the DS port of DOOM was based upon a modified DOOM source port as opposed to WinDOOM or some jumk like that!

By the way, with wintex, how do you add sprites from a pwad? I'm building a westerm themed Doom game.

As for Light Sabers...

...they just don't work out well in classic DOOM, and PrBOOM isn't much past classic. In GzDOOM on the other hand you can be more creative when setting up Weapon Behavior and it can really give the game a much different feel!

Adding sprites is complicated. I read the instructions, but that's a bit too hard for me to understand. I think my sprites were missing SS_Start and SS_End. I'm using Wintex 4.3 and I'm using Freedoom.

I have uploaded another quick demo to give you an early glimpse at one of the new enemies I am working in from Jedi Outcast.

Still A LOT of work to do, but that one enemy as incomplete as he is, took me about 12 hours to put together, though I think the road ahead should be easier as I've found some new tools to speed up the process a bit.

Honesty, when I begin to make serious releases, let me know if you are bored, or find anything wrong with the textures or what ever.

Of course compliments are always welcome too! :)
