Just be patient, Microsoft did a really good job securing the Xbox 360 kernel. But it will not last forever.

Technically, homebrew can be ran on an Xbox 360 with the older kernel versions, but it is just a simple Linux distribution. Nothing too fancy.

When the 360 is finally cracked it will be worth the wait, there is so much potential for great homebrew games and emulators.

thanks mate.
i guess i have just been spoiled by PSP with homebrew almost immediately happening across the scene.
i know the 360 has so much potential - which is why i am excited.
i also recently got banned so don't have to worry about that now and would like more games! :-D

XNA anyone? Eventually they will either reduce the price point or make it free depending on demand.

What did you get banned for?

XNA is crap, there is no way anyone can unlock the full potential of the Xbox 360 with C#. If we want to really use all of the 360s power we need to crack the encryption so better programming languages can be used.

C# is actually not a bad language to work with. Its quite powerful on its own.

It would be better if they didn't force you to go through .NET (and faster), however.
