Hi all. I wonder if anyone here can tell me if it's possible to convert NTSC VMU saves to PAL? I am using a PAL Dreamcast and PAL version of Shenmue. I tried converting some saves using El Bucanero's Shenmue PAL save converter tool but it didn't load the game. Is there another tool I can use or am I asking the impossible? I just wanna play on the 70 Man Battle without playing the whole game to unlock the extra's. Cheers.

I only know about the Bucanero converter, but if it still don't work for you then download some Shenmue saves from Bucanero website.

Thanks very much. Only thing is, how do I get the saves onto my VMU? Sorry for the n00b question, I have been a DC user for many years but I have never downloaded saves.

OK, thanks to a certain user here I have been told I'm not allowed to discuss it. I don't understand why, but hey I'm new here.

See you guys around.

On Bucanero's website, there's a .cdi file which you can burn on a CD-R using Diskjuggler. Then run it on your Dreamcast, select the save and it will be copied to your memory card.

Who said you can't discuss it here?

I already have a copy of Bucanero's disc with hundreds of saves on it (great work he's done), but as I said, I can copy the files to the VMU but the game disc won't load. I guess there's no PAL saves on the Bucanero disc, they all seem to be Japanese or USA, and of course, my DC and Shenmue games are PAL.

I'm not sure if the member wants me to mention his name, btw. He PM'd me and said it's forbidden to discuss what we're talking about, so unless he chips in and speaks up in this thread I'll not mention his name.

There are some saves here (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/dreamcast/save/198621.html).
And I think there are some apps on the Dreamcast Downloads (http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi) page (which is not working actually) where you can convert the file and transfer it to the memory card (similar to Bucanero .cdi file).

That's bullshit. Of course you can discuss everything VMU related here.

Btw, you can download the latest versions of both, speud's and bucanero's VMU collections from DCEvolution.net (http://www.dcevolution.net/)

OK, understood. I guess the guy who told me this somehow got his info twisted.

Thanks to both of you for the links, btw. :)
