I downloaded the latest version of PSP Video 9 recently (unless they came out with an update in the past few days), but I'm having trouble getting videos to convert. When I try to convert, the conversion process ends after about a second, and then nothing gets added to the video library. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

On my opinion Video9 is crap!

I use 3gp converter. you just open the .exe and drag your video on and it puts the MP4 file on your desktop!

I really want something that can output videos in 480x272 at 24p. In theory PSP video 9 is supposed to be able to, but it doesn't work. :\

Strange... i´m converting a serie of videos now with PSPVideo9 ... and i´m just clicking in "One-Convert-Click" and it´s configured to 478x272 size.

Check if your codecs are correctly instaled.

I looked up at the PSP Video 9 forums, and apparently the latest version is just plain a piece of crap, and there is no "fix..." It just works for some people, and not for others. I suppose I'll just have to wait a while before I can convert native. Guess that means I'll be stuck converting Youtube videos instead of DVDs for the time being.

The last version is really a trash program.
I´m using the 2.17 version and all works fine.
You can use WinAVI to do this.. but it´s not free...

Does 2.17 allow for 480x272 native playback? If not, I can live without it for now, but still, it'd be nice to have...

Yes... all my videos converted is in this resolution. It´s slow to convert to MPEG4-AVC, but works.

Blah, 2.17 gave me an error message during installation and said something about how I was "not authorized to install Avisynth" or some garbage like that. Now I have the same problem as with the new version, only the program completely crashes at the end.
