My psp isn't working anymore, but I'm not sure why. When I turn it on, the light blinks on for about 20 seconds, but notihng else happens. For about 2 weeks before this began to happen, i was getting increasingly frequent error messages and my psp would freeze occasionally. When it did, I would just take out the battery and put it back in and things would work fine. Also, gpsp wasn't working ... i don't know if that has anything to do with it. I'm pretty sure i was running 3.10 oea but i'm not sure. It could have been a later version. If anyone knows what happened, I'd really appreciate their input. Thanks.

Ok try recovery mode again, while holding R tab click the screen brightness button a few times, a menu should come up.

if your booting your psp holding R it should show a menu IF you are indeed on custom firmware.

take out the battery put it back in and start it while holding R. if that doesnt work your either not of custom firmware or its an electrical problem or something.

i am for sure on a custom firmware. actually, i remember once accidentally pressing the update button but i was out of range of internet and i think i canceled it or something... i don't know if that would do anything. doesnt seem to me like it would. i'm charging my psp right now and i'm going to try again in a little while.

if you canceled it nothing would have happened.

Huh, a similar thing happened to me on my old PSP.

Was your custom firmware version 3.03 OE-C?
