Ok so Dual Scene.com Here (http://www.dual-scene.com/) , is hosting a hack called, "PSPersonalize" it allows you to create and upload your own images into the firmware to change the backgorunds. Since I have been banned from Gaming-age and they are all discussing whether or not to try it I figured I'd be brave and give it a shot, and guess what? IT WORKS!!!!

So for proof and to let people know that it is safe, here is a screen shot of my psp

Just follow the instructions and if you are not familiar with the swap technique figure that out before doing this, unless you have a 1.0 system. Also whenit means the "root" of M2 "memory card 2" it reeally means the root folders where Memstick.ind resides.

Uh one thing though, it is hard to read the menus with this background, you should deffinetly darken it or maybe use a different one. I may change mine tomorrow!

Also, make sure you save link as to get the bmp as a 24 bit bmp and also its filename is already set for june!

KidNiki and JcBoyCool, what firmware you guys on? I'm 1.0 and going to be trying that out later today or tomorrow. Just wanted to make sure I could do it hassle free.

Shin, I'm on 1.5 and it worked flawlessly, as for what the "root" directory is. It is the first directory visible when you access the PSP with the computer. It has the "PSP" folder in it!

for the thread starter up there... first I am not saying it isnt a legit shot.. BUT...
That screenshot looks like you have an emu icon selected, and have only modified the eboot.pbp file to include a background image. Now, like I said, I am not saying its not legit, it just doesnt show proof. It only shows a background being displayed while an icon is selected.

I know the method works, not doubting that... just saying your proof has flaws...

JcBoy, I don't know how much you are into anime but I plan to have themed wallpapers drawn up by the end of the week for the rest of the year if you would like to use them, I link them!
