You may remember the rumours a few weeks ago, claiming that a defect had caused EB Games Australia to call for a recall of every single one of its Xbox 360 Premium consoles.

Allegedly, a batch of faulty HDDs had caused the problem, leading to orders asking store managers to test every Xbox 360 console in stock at Aussie EB stores.

It's been a bit slow on the ball but Microsoft has finally come out and denied the rumour, telling CVG "there has been no 'recall' in Australia or anywhere else. The rumours and speculation appearing are just that - rumours and speculation."

Good to see Microsoft commenting on rumour and speculation for a change though...

So there you have it, no need to worry about botched 360 hard drives cropping up over here - because apparently they're all just fine.

More than a rumor methinks, my bro just got a 360 the other week from EB games, The first store he went to told him that all the 360's they had had faulty hard drives and that they couldn't sell something which they knew didn't work. After trying just about every EB store in adelaide he fianally found one and checked to make sure it wasn't from the dodgy batch and was told it was fine, he gets it home and guess what.
Rumor=true
Microsoft=LIARS
