When i turn on my psp my memory stick reads fine, I run a homebrew aplication and then quit it then my memory stick doesnt read. The psp memory stick light jst keeps on flashing orange constantly like if it was trying to read my memory stick. Is this most likely the memory stick or the psp. Thank you
oh yea i have 3.40 OE A

You could try accessing the memory stick using through a card reader (built in or USB) and see if the problem persists.

I use a card reader for mine and it works fine in it but its when I put a card in a PSP when it plays it so it may just but a problem with the card not the PSP as i've tried it in many PSP's with the same problem occuring so what I do is put it in and out as couple and times intill it stops flashing, it doesn't bother me that much.

seems a quite common problem,
but does it affect all memsticks,
or only a particular make/size/type ?

yea i know what you mean. xcept mine has acticivated a write protection too ? so i bought a better one. its works on them sony ericsson phones because my friend has one.... my only guess is if you can format it through something other than computer or psp, it might work....
