Lazyone (http://lazyone.drunkencoders.com/wordpress/?p=43) has posted a new version of Wolfenstein 3D for the DS, heres the release notes:

It has been too long since I released anything for this project, there are a few more bugs and
missing features but from what I have seen it plays very well.

Improvements:

- Compiled with the latest libfat (should now work with most/all DLDI devices)
- Sound (no music)
- Status bar on bottom screen
- Saving

Todo:

- Music
- Builds for registered versions and spear of destiny
- Configuration
- Enhance sound

A note on saving:

Currently saving is broken between builds, if you make a savegame with this version and upgrade
the wolf3d binary your save will crash.

Keys:

Turn left: DPAD Left
Turn right: DPAD Right
Forward: DPAD Up
Backward: DPAD Down
Strafe Left: L Shoulder
Strafe Right: R Shoulder
Shoot: A
Use: B
Next Weapon: X
Run: Y

Installation:

Copy the wolf3d folder into the root of your media card, run.

w00t! I've been waiting so long for a M3 Simply compatible version. Although, having Y for run and A to shoot makes running and shooting at the same time quite hard.

Anyways, Brilliant port! Can't wait for the registered build now...

Nice port. I remember playing this back in the mid '90s in my old 286. :)

Thanks for the feedback, the next release will allow key remapping.

Also, the next release will more than likely support music.
I am currently writing the tools to extract and convert the music and will provide them shortly before release.

I'm not making accusations here but shortly after booting and playing a little of this my ds turned off by itself and bricked. Thankfully the nice guys over at Gamestop were willing to trade it out.
