Transfering save data in PSX game from disc 1 to disc 2.

Hi.

I've been playing the PSOne game Xenogears on my PSP with POPStation. I just recently got to the end of disc 1, and the game now asks me to load disc 2. When I open the disc 2 file however, the memory card data from the first disc isn't there. Does anyone know how to transfer my save data over to disc 2?
