M3 simply, and R4 are different flash carts, which use different interfaces. So no, it will not work.

What do you mean? They are the exact same hardware with different stickers, plus some minor changes to prevent you from loading one firmware on the other. They are otherwise exactly the same. I'd imagine (not positive) that it would be possible to use this to create skins for the M3 Simply. Then again, I don't own either device so my opinion doesn't mean much, heh.
