Last week I was playing Children of Mana on the DS and halfway through I thought to myself: " Dear god this game blows ! ". So i went out and blew over a hundred dollars on the Max Media Drive and a 4 GB compact flash card, believing that I would be able to play Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, Bahamut lagoon, Super Mario RPG, and a few other good snes games on my DS. I was wrong. Right now I am using SNEmulDS and it can't render the graphics right, or the games wont boot. So I was wondering if there was a better emulator out there that would allow me to play these games.

1. You got ripped off if you spent over $100 for that.
2. You're right, nearly all of those games don't work with SNEmulDS. Dunno about Seiken Denetsu, but Bahamut Lagoon crashes the emulator, while SMRPG simply isn't compatible. Secret of Mana is workable if you make sure to put snemul.cfg on the root of your card.

The only other emulator that will run on your MMD is SNES DS, which I doubt will run the games any better.

Read http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SNES_games_with_special_chips for a listing of games that don't work at all on any emulator. Then see http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SNEmulDS_Compatibility_List for some games that do work fine.

That first list killed my hopes of playing SMRPG, as for Secret of Mana. I tried it, and it crashes on the first boss. So it seems that I can only wait for the emulators to get better.

By the way, thank you for the help !
