Should I use it...I've stuck with 3.40 OE cause I heard problems with M33, and they aren't darkalex.

That new update doesn't say anything about them being fixed.

3.52M33 is a much better firmware. More stable, and newer.

I wouldn't call it more stable, but it is certainly newer.

As far as I know, it still has bugs, plus it doesn't have POPS loading I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It does have POPS loading. Read the readme of Update 2. It needs the copying/editing of some flash PRX's.

I don't like meddling with PRX's.......i'm not good with that sought of stuff. When an official popsloader comes out for it I'll consider.

It can load pops 3.30 ~ 3.52

Official Pops loader?
The M33 plug-in works, looks and smells exactly the same as DA"s popsloader plug-in
Are there any other popsloaders in existence?
(maybe your thinking of an auto-installer...)

Why is it not stable?
Where and when does it crash?
What Apps and or Games does it have problems with?

Who cares if it's newer...it has to work.

- XMB Game Menu has a slight stall when loading homebrew -Info Provided by: Chameleon
- Setting CPU to 333 causes remote play glitches -Info Provided by: Chameleon

Issues:

Oh yeah, sure...M33 is much more stable.*sarcasm*

Do those problems still occur on the update?...it never said they were fixed.

I have never seen any of these problems.

I tested the original hotshots golf transparency. - no problems

Never lost a wallpaper after existing an iso.

Custom themes almost always have to be upgraded between firmwares.

All my homebrew (CPS2, SNES, DGEN)
Load like normal, no slow down at all, and I have custom ICONS, backgrounds and audio for each one.

I couldn't test CPU 333Mhz remote play.

I have never had any problems hiding corrupt icons.
The only time my recovery setting change on me is when the registry is corrupt after an update.
I always have to reset defaults after say going from 1.5 to 3.40 and 3.40 to 3.50 ...

Dont act like DA didnt release a lot of updates or never released a firmware that didnt have "issues"

You do have to upgrade to 3.50

Complain when you cant play any 3.50 games.
And when will that be?
I cant think of any really compelling reason for you to upgrade...

Stay at 3.40... its your choice.
Its always your choice... period.

hey, well im on 3.52 (1) m33, my registry kept chagning, but has calmed. the wallpaper is lost if you use no umd drivers i think. i hav nearly completed ff7 on it.(3.40oe kept glitching) so it's no treally bad, btw try 3.52 m33, remeber its homebrew, you can always go back to 3.40 oe-a :P

Like I said,

If the settings in the recovery menu keep changing
System Settings > Reset System Defaults
Or use the F1 formatter in the recovery menu
> Format flash1 and reset settings.

I use no UMD Drivers all the time.
I Never loose wallpaper.

If f1 is corrupt or missing vsh\theme folder then you will have all sorts of strange problems
Again this happens all the time when going between large gaps in firmware versions.

Notice the transparency and custom (converted) battery from 3.40?

There's nothing wrong with his updates, and there are no issues...I'm not Korean and I don't need that Location Free Player thing.

After seeing the issues, they don't really seem that bad anymore. I don't use those custom XMBs, and you say you have no problems with what I think would be a problem. I'll probably update later...

Thanks for the help.

I went through all of the OE's
All the updates to fix problems and add functionality.
Go back and read all the change logs of the OE's and you will see the problems DA worked through...
And it didn't happen in a short period of time

Its not like M33 has any more or less problems...
M33 firmware is based on DA's work.
