probably not, i dont think the psp is powerful enough for that! put there is a PSX emulator but thats an offical sony 1, so unless sony finds a way 2 get a PS2 emu workin, we can only dream i guess?

well early PS2 graphics (GTA3 uses the same [or at least close] graphics as GTA LCS) are supported on PSP
anyway
just an idea for you brilliant hackers/modders out there

I don't know about the video card, but the PSP has the same ram and a faster processor when compared to the PS2.

Either way emulation requires a far more powerful system than the original. Pretty much any PS2 game should be able to be ported to the PS2, but emulation is completely out of the question.

Psp has a the same architeture of PS2 (MIPS),same memory space (32MB),better processor, but the graphic hardware is diferent and doesnīt support the PS2 high resolutions ( as1280x1014). It havent the shader capabilities too.
Maybe Sony can use virtualization to help in this task, it have the full PS2 and PSP documentation and itīs fundamental to do this task .. probabily is impraticable do something like popstation due the very little gap wich exists between PSP and PS2.
People who develop homebrew propabily will never do it... just look the PS1 emulators for PSP developed before popstation.

I have a better idea. Emulate ps3, xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii. Imagine playing bioshock or the new super smash brothers game on the psp!

But srsly. That's my idea if any brilliant hackers/modders create any form of emulator for the ps3, 360 or Wii then I demand my name in the credits.

yes and thats my point. psp will never emulate ps2 because PS2 IS MORE POWERFUL. it defies logic to even ask that question.
