Hi.
I have just got a second psp running version 1.5 which is what I looked round for because of the homebrew features. When I try to run the orignal game that game with it the system trys to update to version 2 or tells me version 2 is needed.

Any ideas on how to avoid this?

Sorry if seems a dumbv question

That wasn't really helpful..

robolly, you can update to any of the custom firmwares like Open Edition or M33. I personally recommend Open Edition since there's been some problems with M33 lately.

Check this thread (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68856) for all the information about custom firmwares. It's really helpful thanks to V3N0M.

Thanks Xandu. Thats filled me ina lot of stuff I didnt know. So basically if the PSP upgraded to V2.0 I could quite easily install a custom firmware without it causing much bother?
Thanks again.

you must install a custom firmware from version 1.5, so just find the custom firmware (OE or M33) that suits you and install it from 1.5
