it supports metroid and mario all stars

“Y” has released a new version of the Snes9x Emulator for PSP. This version supports more ROMs like Super Metroid and Mario All Stars like on the official 0.03a version. A rough (google) translation of the fixes:

– Detailed of sleep return processing correction
– DSP-1 and C4 processing correction
– SRAM saving other things correction

Thanks Ganon (wraggster)

OMG!! Mario Kart actually works with this version properly, plenty of frame skip is needed but all the characters are now on the track racing :) !

It's got an odd zip file in it with another eboot file - do we need to keep this? It seems to work fine without it.

Does this mean its 100% safe to sleep the PSP in the emulator now?

the other zip is the same emulator, just with a different compiler being used.
Devs are slowly migrating to the psptoolchain to try it out.. but I prefer the ps2dev one.. simple and works.

I've played it for about 30mins and its been 100% so far, you only need to run 266mhz and about 3-4 frameskip and its smooth, so the game runs amazingly considering most need 333 and even then dont run full speed.

Sure it boots and gameplay is there, but anyone try going down an elevator yet? Doesn't work. Why would anyone switch emulators just to play it? What's better about the unofficial version? As far as I can tell, the auto frame skip doesn't even work. Emulation is as slow as ever with it on until I set frame skip to 2.

UO has more options and feels more complete, plus is debatably faster.

Havnt tried elevators, only ones I've seen are out of order.

Game runs smooth for me at 266mhz with no frame skipping, in fact setting it to 333mhz makes it go TOO fast, and the music is very racy...So I have extra power that I dont even need to run it, which is rare for the emulator

So the game itself runs better then 100% besides me being able to check elevators.
