3.03 OE-C to 3.52 M33-4

If i want to upgrade to 3.52 m33-4, can I do it through 3.03 oe-c or do I have to downgrade to 1.5, then upgrade 3.52 m33?

you dont need to downgrade.
first, go to 3.52 m33, then run the updater to go to m33-4.

i just upgraded to 3.52 m33-4 but it seems like on every single ps1 game i play (since those are the games that i really only play) the game freezes up for a few seconds, and actually one time while i was playing wild arms and in a part that had no save point near it, it just froze completely. the game froze, not the system, so i could still quit and stuff, but this has never happened in older firmwares, can anyone tell me how to fix this?
