we have more tax, we always pay more for everything from ps3's to ipod's it just our standard taxes and GST.

Btw here ringside seats are $350 which is about £142

Aussies pay more taxes than us on everything, I had a friend who had a cellphone that was cheap as hell here but cost the equivalent to almost 2 of the same phone here (I think it was import taxes or something as mostly everything that is electrical is imported to Australia - i.e: Games Consoles, T.V's, cellphones etc).
