Sweet, tried out Great Giana sisters, runs pretty slow but still playable. Also found a bug, where if you press the left shoulder button the game gets reset to the title screen, but if you try to start a new game after that you get kicked back to the title screen as soon as the game starts, like it still registers you pressing left constantly or something. I'm a bit of an Amiga n00b... can someone explain the different Amiga models, and what games will run on a 500 compared to later versions?

Amiga 500 has ocs(original chipset) ,later models ie the Amiga1200 uses the AGA chipset(advanced graphics articture),just make sure all ADF disk are for the a500 and Kick 1.2

great games for the a500 are:-

Turrican 1 & 2
Robocod :)
First samurai
project X
super stardust

i think with a frame skip of just 1 all these games would be full speed.

Yes all those games were great! What I can't wait to play is all the Psygnosis and Reflections games like Beast I, II, and III, Blood Money, Awsome, Killing Game Show. I used to love the Bitmap Brothers stuff...Gods especially. Apidya is another great game. I was always wondering when I was going to be able to take my two Amiga 500 and 1200's on the road :) This is truely awsome. Now if we can get an Atari ST emu ;) Haha!

How can I tell what games are for Amiga 500 and what games are for Amiga 1200?

If you goto backtoroots website they have legal adf images which includes plenty of classic amiga games, and it will tell u whether they are OCS(amiga 500) or AGA(A1200)

most games are Amiga500,and if they dont boot there dont a500 :)

ps the music on XENON 2 is perfect :) strangly enough!

Ps xenon 2 doesnt actually work :) just music.

And the autoframe rate is annouying,it makes games unplayable:),please make it adjustable :)

Having trouble getting this emulator to work, very experienced with other formats but i'm out of ideas on this one.

My main problem seems to be the lack of KICK.ROM, which i cannot find anywhere on the web or otherwise.

have got many valid adf files but none of them will boot, the program runs for a split second but then returns to the home screen

any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm aching to play sensible world of soccer once again :D

I've been playing the Genesis version of Sensi Soc on PSP, but I'll be great to play a more up to date version (SWOS) using the Amiga emulator....Sensi forever!

can you only have one game installed at time? or is there a way to change the discs

Amiga
July 1st, 2005, 20:11
Not at this time there isnt,:(

PS Kickstart 3.0 and 3.1 work, certain games need them to be able to access the disk

drcolossus87

so if i wanted to play one game i would have to remove it from the memory and put another on to play

No it's not as I found out after loading disc one of Sensi World of Soccer, sitting thru the 5 min intro, then the disc 2 request came up and I got no further

WOWOWOW Fantastic work!!!!

Once we have the ability to change the settings and swap disks this will be the only thing I play on my PSP.

I have dreamt of a pocket Amiga since the gameboy came out. AMIGA forever yo!

I hope this helps people. I patched the GBA file selector to allow selecting of the DF0.adf image. I've been playing with it all day and it works great.

Hope others can use this. Binaries for both V1.5 and V1.0 people.
I edited the instructions a bit as well.

Take it easy.

edit: spelling, I think my keyboard needs batteries...

i was born about 15 years ago, whats an amiga 500?

It's a personal computer by a company called Commodore. It was the first multimedia home computer, capable of great graphics and sound that its competitors could only dream about. Psygnosis (now Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe), DMA (now Rockstar North), and Reflections (er, still Reflections) all got their start on the Amiga. The Amiga even had a program called Digital Toaster which allowed people to professionally edit their own videos... this was a feature that wouldn't be included in Windows PCs until years later. It was a really powerful computer for the time, and it was really popular in Europe (although not so much here).

I first played this game when it originally came out on the Commodore 64 but the Amiga version is just as good :D

loading still seems a little slow but it is looking great. It's already a very good emulator. Get it to 100% speed and more option (like keyboard support) and it will be a champ. Any chance Christophe will accept donations to support his great work???
