Mario Kart 64 is pretty darn close... It isnt 100 percent full speed but is extremely playable. Super Mario 64 isnt bad either Daedalus R 13 is just around the corner so be patient ;)

It may be a while before any are perfect and there's a chance that none will ever be perfect.

Well if the 64 mb ram in the slim's full potential is unleashed theres a possibility that might make it perfect or near it for psp slim users. Could be R14 or R15 before thats even feasable though.

The only problem is that only a majority of people actually have a PSP slim, I won't get one untill around the begining of next year.

Well thats okay, by then it'll have reached far more potential then my psp slim has now, we just have to be patient and hope that future daedalus revisions utilize the ram for extra speed and stability.

The ram won't add to much speed into it the main, it's mainly the processor of the PSP that allows for the speed.

Well between the nand (66mb) and the ram hopefully it can do something..

Yeah the Ram should speed things up and we may be able to play full speed one day

Guys, extra RAM isn't going to really do ANYTHING for speed. That isn't how things work.

LOL, as if a coder would know anything. Everyone knows the slims extra ram causes the psp's processor to clock in at 1ghz... and shoot lightning bolts.

Speeding it up will be done in code, not with hardware. The extra ram might make things easier, but dont quote me on that.

Listen to the cap'n.

Just look at No$GBA. The whole program clocks in at around 100k, but save a few compatibility issues, it can play many ROMs better than VBA.... Heck, it's even capable of playing NDS stuff now, too!

Again, the key is in spiffy, sexy, streamlined code. The original N64 had 8MB of memory max (with the expansion pak), so you don't need much more than that to run games.

Also, PC emulators tend to suck up memory because they have to pre-load ROMs to make the seek times fast enough. HDD's just don't cut it. You don't have to do that on the PSP, since you're reading off a MemStick that's MUCH faster than any previous console's cartridge format.

so I was just going to make a thread asking, but I guess I'll ask here.

Daedalus is more playable than monkey64?
And is goldeneye playable and enjoyable yet? Or naw?
