Well, My first psp's broke (it was 1.5) and I just got my 2nd one now..

I am very out of the loop, with the fast growing technology with the PSP, so if someone could help me out, what can I do and what are my restrictions on a v2.60 PSP???
What can i use for homebrew, and playing my backed iso's etc??

As i previously had a v1.50 and did not have to worry bout restrictions.. lol

any help is appreciated thanks.

you should update to one of the latest custom firmwares. You can't play the latest PSP games with 2.60

you will definitely want to upgrade to some form of custom firmware. custom firmware is a combo of 1.5 and the latest firmware allowing use of homebrew and the ability to play the newest umd's and receive the newest official features.

i'd suggest upgrading to 3.52M33-4.(the most stable CFW currently)

first, upgrade to 3.52M33(dont worry bout instructions, theyre all in the read me.

-------------------------------------------------------------
when you get your psp to 3.52M33, download the 3.52M33-4 patch and install it(put the "M33Update4" in the "Game150" folder found in your psp memstick.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
now, you should have 3.52M33-4 and youll be able to play homebrew, your LEGIT backed up umd's in iso or cso form, and many other things that 1.50 AND the official 3.52 sony firmwares have to offer.

BTW, you will need the official 3.52 and 1.50 EBOOT files to make this work.

hope i helped :D
