You must have a valid VMI assigned to a VMS file, then use Speud' VMU TOOL (http://bswirl.kitsunet.org/vmutool/). If you haven't a VMI with the correct VMS, VMU TOOL (http://bswirl.kitsunet.org/vmutool/) won't work with this VMS.

You can use the VMI Editor (http://bswirl.kitsunet.org/vmieditor/?lg=en) from the Speud website, or if you want, use the VMI Writer (http://sbibuilder.dc-france.com/tutorials/vmutool/files/vmiwriter_03.zip) from LyingWake (http://www.consolevision.com/members/fackue/).

Btw, welcome ! ;)
