Brunni (http://www.playeradvance.org/forum/showthread.php?p=147177#post147177) has updated his emulator for the DS, heres the details:

Changelog
0.75
- Correction of a bug of map
- Improvement speed (the difference is quasi null on step badly of plays, but it is rather important on others)

0.7
- Addition of the colour application (compatible MasterBoy/VisualBoyAdvance EC)
- Improvement speed for the accesses to the pallets (typically the insipid ones)
- Improvement speed for the plays which did many copies in VRAM
- Faster Management of the maps
- Modification of the colors by defect when no colour application is charged
- Improvement of the colors (functions with or without colour application) to reduce the rémanance on DS Lite; it was enough immonde.

Unzip it using winrar

It is a compressed archive file. Extract with Winrar or 7-zip

Download WinRar,unless you are a Mac-user.
http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar371.exe

7-zip
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z457.exe

they are trial nag-ware

7-zip is NOT nag/trial ware as 7-zip is open source!

Also if you use 7-zip with multi-part archives and have problems, especially RAR archives it MAY be a 7-zip bug, in which case also try the rarlabs software.

I hate stuff like this. I'm all for a new emulator built from the ground up for the DS, but it needs a lot more than just gbc support to be able to "beat" lameboy.

this latest thing seems to have no sound support on Donkey Kong, not to mention no speed options, no configurable buttons, no save states, no screen ratio, and a bunch of other things.

Though I will agree that as far as the actual gameplay goes, it seems to be running perfectly, and shows a lot of promise.
I just disagree that statements like "all it needs is x and it'll beat (current standard) when in reality it'll still need t,u,v,w,y, and z on top of that.

heck, I'm not even getting the color options that this this is supposed to be doing

The roms end in .gb and .gbc and can go anywhere I believe. Also try Lameboy v0.9 as a comparison.
