HDL Dumb Error

I've been using HDL Dumb to transfer things onto my ps2's hard-drive using an external usb box and reccently I've been getting a pop-up that says
"Operation Complete" "There has been an unsuspected error".
I've had that problem before and I remember it being a problem with the jumper pin but I've tried installing games with the jumper pin in every possible position, would anyone know what this problem is and how it may be resolved.

I'm not quite sure about the direct connection, but have you tried using a network connection to install games instead? I've rarely had problems (that I didn't cause, at least...) doing it that way.
