Droping a memory card 10 feet isnt really alot, i can see it just like fluttering around.

Not with the current firmwares (1.11/1.07) but it's been suggested that the next update might add SDHC support.

There's be some debate on http://gbatemp.net as to whether it's posible but, as it could be out in a week or so for the R4, we'll soon see

Where are you that you just happen to drop your extremely light memory card from ten feet anyway?

I agree, 10ft is a lot, unless you're over 10ft tall, like say 16ft and your hand is 10ft from the floor, that would suck if you accidently dropped your SD card. You giants better take note. Us shorties should think about not throwing the card across the room. duh.

Is there going to be an r4 update coming in the next week or so and if so with possible large memory support? and if so where did you get this info?

Sometimes, when im ejecting my SD card from M3 lite(it has a spring), i would accidently slip my grip, and the Sd card would fling out of the M3 lite really fast

well m3/R4 well R4 was re designed so that the SD card just pushes in and pulls out due to a lot of the springs breaking.

I say m3/R4 as they are the same hardware and the m3 can be modded easily to run the R4 firmware.

wait: so sdhc compatibility canbe added with a simple update?

is it still possible to change the m3 simply to r4 ds? iheard they changed it so it can't - maybe i'm wrong

I'm confused about this (doesn't take much!). The product info and manual on the R4 website don't explicitly mention whether SDHC is supported or not, nor about any forthcoming update, but I found this buried in the FAQ:

"Q: How many files can I have on the R4?
A: R4 Adapter supports 128MB~4GB TF(MicroSD) card , 4GB=32Gbit"

I'm not intending to buy a 4GB card just yet, but it would be nice to know if my R4 will be able to support one when they get a bit cheaper.

For those in the UK, I just found this site selling 6gb Micro SD HC cards, well cheap to in comparison to 2 and 4 gigs., check it:

http://www.mobymemory.com/micro-sd.asp

If anybody has tested a 4gb in their R4DS please do state weather it actually worked or not!
And lets hope for an update to support 6gb!

But with BLUETOOTH!

http://wiki.scorpei.com/index.php/M3_DS_Simply_compatibility_list

(scroll all the way to teh bottom for card compatibility list)

the m3 simply compatibility list says the 4GB SDHC card doesn't boot at all... and since the M3 has the same hardware as the R4, i guess this must apply to the two of them
