So will this produce a better 1080i signal then componet? And what happened to the HDMI converter that was supposed to do 1080p? Also, would this mean that it will upscale regular DVDs?

unfotunately ,cause i bought the cable, doesn't support upscaling. And i've got another problem. When a pal dvd title is in ,the caple fails to convert the signal to 576p which is the standard definition for pal titles . so, black screen. Anyone with the same problem?

i mean dvd titles for dvd video pal titles ,not games.the games play allright at 720p
