GameTap, the PC digital distribution platform, has announced that it will soon be adding the 1,000th game to the service.

On October 23, the service will offer Clive Barker’s Jericho for download. GameTap will also soon be offering the premiere of Sam & Max Season Two, and the season finale of Myst Online: Uru Live to subscribers.

"GameTap is focused on providing our subscribers with new original games, as well as great partner titles like Clive Barker's Jericho, that will premiere on GameTap the same day it hits retail stores," said Ricardo Sanchez, GameTap's vice president of content and creative director.

"We are also excited to announce that on November 15th we will be setting an industry benchmark of 1000 video games on-demand, reinforcing our reputation as the leader in the space."

GameTap, a division of Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., was launched in 2005. It features free games on an ad-supported website, purchase of PC and catalog titles via digital download, and original programming such as documentaries and animated series.
