Portable VNC help

Have mercy if this is the wrong forum, cuz I haven't done much looking around...

I'm trying to use the PSP Portable VNC to connect to my eMac. Once I start trying to connect to the eMac, it freezes! Once or twice I've gotten a password prompt, but it freezes after that as well.

Info:
PVNC 1.1
PSP 1.5

Mac OS 10.4.2
OSX VNC Server

Perhaps this is a stupid help request, but I've never used VNC before. Forgive my stupidity!!!

Try turning off the need for a password in your mac it helped me out, but then again I'm using TightVNC on WindowsXP, but hey why not try it anyway !!!
