Allow me to help you, JoeBoi.

First, you want to upgrade to a custom firmware.
I recommend 3.52 M33-4.

You can find the tutorial to upgrade from 1.5 to 3.52 M33 HERE (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=77944).
(Make sure you click "spoiler" to see the guide):p

Then from 3.52 M33 to 3.52 M33-4 DOWNLOAD THIS (http://exophase.com/files/psp/M33-1234.zip).

Simply put that in your game folder and run it from the XMB.

Then to play PSX games:

Rip your PSX games with THIS TUTORIAL (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=75014) and convert them to be played on the PSP with THIS TUTORIAL (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=75015).

Good luck!
Keep in mind that with your new custom firmware, all other homebrew is possible for you.

Happy Homebrew!

You need install an custom firmware like 3.03 OE-A to 3.71 M33 . The firmware 1.50 doesn´t have the Popstation emulator included.

And after installed the custom firmware you must convert your PSX Cds to PSP Eboots using an GUI like AutoPopstation4 or PSX2PSP.

I wouldn't reccomend using 3.71 m33 at this time. Sometimes, mine randomly bricks itself (I still dont know why)...
I have UP though, so i dual boot 3.52 m33 and 3.71 m33 firmware, and 3.52 is more stable.

oh, and "I Am A Better Musician Than You." from Johnny Rash's sig, what do you do that makes you a good musician?

Because being is believing.

Nah, I play guitar.
And I've composed.
And the common claimed "musician" doesn't really know how to read music.

If my PSP was to randomly brick its self would I be able to just unbrick it with my pandora's battery and start again?

You won't brink randomly with 3.53 M33-4.

It is VERY stable.

However, you can brick it by doing something stupid like deleting your entire flash0.
Just don't do that and you'll be sorry.

And even if you did that...you'd still be able to recover using Pandora's Battery.
