daedalus 10 and 9 freezing when i start a new game.

ive been trying to get an n64 emulator with sound working on my PSP. i found that the only emulators i can find that work on my firmware and all are daedalus 9 and 10 (11 and 12 wont work). unfortunately when i start to play Paper Mario and get to the start a new game menu, as soon as i click ok, it freezes up! i realized that in the menu it says it saving it as flash ram. and in game when i click select and scroll to the next screen it says something like "save format: none", could this be it? and how can i fix it?

1, theres a newer version, 'r13'
2, a lot of games won't run/run slow/glitchy.
you will just have to wait for a better release
