What are your PSPīs firmware. ? Pandora (and any other type of homebrew) only run in firmware 1.50 or Custom Firmwares.
If you are in 3.50 or bellow you can downgrade your PSP using Lumines exploit. If not you cant create an Pandora Battery with this PSP until you downgrade it - in other words - you need an already made Pandora Battery and "Magic" Memory Stick to downgrade.

Preface?
----------
NEVER, NEVER EVER, NEEEEVER USE THIS TO CONVERT A SLIM BATTERY TO PANDORA!
YOU WILL KILL YOUR BATTERY! ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY!

ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY! ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY!
ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY! ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY!
ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY! ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY!

It runns on the Slim, YES, but: ONLY USE WITH FAT'S BATTERY!

OK?

Now What?
-----------
The original Pandora-Tools are dependant on 1.50, if you are on 3.71-M33
or the Slim you're out of luck - the don't run.

But fear no more ;-)

This is an installer app for a base Pandora setup.
It runns under *ANY* currently known kernel (that is 1.50 to 3.71) and
gives you three options:

1) Make normal battery to Pandora one
2) Make Pandora battery to normal one
3) Install a full 1.50 to the memstick, including the Pandora

And yes, it does run on 3.71 - I tested it myself ;-)

Since Revision 2, you also don't need to use the commandprompt
tools for windows anymore!
This installer offers you options to repartition and format
your memstick for Pandora, and to install the MSIPL.BIN file
into the reserved area on the memstick.

You can install any MSIPL.BIN file you want, the original,
or boosters multiloader, for example.
Just name it MSIPL.BIN and use the option from the installer.

How?
------
To use the installer, first you need the 1.50 updater EBOOT named
as "UPDATE.PBP" in the root folder of your memorystick.
As a regular Pandora user you'll have that already, if not copy it!

Now copy the "pan3xx" folder from this archive to
/PSP/GAME/ on your memorystick - and run it!

Done :)

Cool?
-------
Yes!
Since this installer installs a full 1.50, and not only a subset like
the original installer, you're only one tiny file edit away from
booting a full 1.50 from your memstick to run additional tools or
installers from there before/instead of directly flashing your PSP.

At this point, let me suggest to install the "Extended Pandora Menu" ;-D

To make your magic stick boot a full 1.50 instead of the Pandora menu,
do this:

- Open /kd/pspbtcnf.txt on your memstick
- Find the line "%%/kd/extprxs.elf" and change it to "# %%/kd/extprxs.elf"
(i.e. add the # in front)
- Find the line "# %%/vsh/module/vshmain.prx" and chage it to "%%/vsh/module/vshmain.prx"
(i.e. remove the # in front)

- don't forget - all without the quotes ;-)

- Save and close the file, reboot PSP => full 1.50 from memstick!

and

OK, here's a very short guide for a very easy setup of a complete Pandora set!

Including the preparations of the memstick.
Without hazzeling around with the commanprompt tools for Windows,
all done from the PSP with a few simple button presses!

1)
Make sure you have nothing on the memstick you want to keep!
Now FORMAT the memstick with the PSPs function for doing so
from Systemconfig => Format MemStick

2)
Copy the folder "pan3xx" from this archive to /PSP/GAME on your memstick, and run it

3)
Press R+X, and confirm with R+L+X to repartition and format the memstick
(this is needed to reserve space for the MS IPL)

4)
Restart the PSP and connect it to the PC again via USB.
Create the folder /PSP and then /PSP/GAME on the memstick.
Copy (again ;-)) the folder "pan3xx" from this archive to /PSP/GAME

5)
Copy the official 1.50 updater, named as UPDATE.PBP, to the root of your memstick.
(X:\UPDATE.PPB, if X is the driveletter of your PSP)

6)
Run the "Pandora for 3.xx" installer again.
This time press X to install all files to the memstick.

7)
When the copy of the files is finished, press L+X, when asked to do so.

8)
Restart the installer once again and press O to make your battery to a Pandora one

9)
Press /\ to finally exit the installer.

You have a full set of a Pandora Magic MemoryStick and a Pandora Battery now!
Enjoy!

Like it? I certainly do :-)

Firmware: 3.71
Downloaded: Pan3xx
and

Your instaler will run only in 3.01 to 3.40 OE, 3.52 M33 and 3.71 M33. All then are Custom Firmware. As i said before...official Sony firmware will not run any tipe of homebrew/dowgrader except with an exploit... and no one found an exploit for 3.71 yet.

So the only way to you create a Pandora Battery is dowgrading your PSP... and to downgrade in your case ,only with a Pandora Battery !

Did you created the "Magic" Memory Stick and inserted it before put the battery ? If you put only the battery without it (or with an normal MS) you will get only a black screen.

Pandora Battery only works with an prepared memory stick which contains the necessary files to boot. Normaly you must create one with an homebrew-enabled PSP with the Pandora Memory Stick Creator. Otherwise you must search programs like "Pandora Box" which creates the "Magic" MS using only a PC and a card reader... but i dont know if it works for Slim PSPs, but it saved my PSP Phat.
