Alright here goes ...

Im getting a sony psp (S+L) and do not own a PS3
and I would like to know if there is anyway that I can legally play the playstation games (PAL) that I own on my PSP?

Yes, but the process involves ripping games you own and converting them to be played on the PSP.

I also requires custom firmware in which you'll need Pandora's Battery to install to your PSP Slim.

Sorry for being such a noob but what is pandoras battery?

And will doing this have any consequences? (bricking etc.)

Now im even more confused, why do I need to unbrick PSP to play PSX games on it?

The battery can do separate things.

Normally, it was used to load 1.5 on bricked PSPs.

It can also be used to load a Custom Firmware on the Slims.

Pandora will work whether or not the PSP is bricked.

Right so this pandoras box will let me put custom firmware (which is?) onto my slim PSP so which I can then take files from my psx games and play them on my PSP?

Is there a walkthrough on this site for doing that ?

Sorry again for being such a psp noob and thankyou for your help so far ...

yes, custom firmware will allow you to run home brew and other stuff. Homebrew is user-made software. here is a link on how to rip the games
