Good day to you all, I am new to the PSP homebrew scene and I am willing to learn, actually its a shame I have come along so late, I have to sift through pages and pages of news, forums and readmes for old releases and such.

But anyway, I have recently purchased a brand new, boxed Ceramic White PSP Phat, PSP 1000 (Japan) with 1.5 firmware on it.
My question is, what would be the best custom firmware to easily play 1.5 homebrew (Daedalus, Bochs, Dosbox, all the other emulators and great homebrew), use Popstation to play PSX games and load dumps of PSP games (I just dont want to say the "I" word, might get in trouble... wouldnt want that).

Is it worth upgrading for the PSX emulation or should I just keep to 1.5?
I should mention that I am reasonably computer capable and have done this kind of thing before (notably with Ipod Linux) and am willing to learn, so at this point forgive my noobness.

Thanks very much, from Chris

Its definately worth updating for the PSX emulator

And for custom firmware, 3.52-M33 will do you fine for now.

You from Australia? Where abouts if so?
