Hi, I'm a newbie in PSP dev (although I'm not new in programming). How do I get access to this forum? It will be a treasure trove of knowledge for me :)

I'm not sure they value PSPdeving here. I reccomend going here:

I am working on a port of Tankwars to the PSP.
(Phisics done, ballistic simulation done, multiplayer 50%, AI 50%, all-new-story-mode 30%, graphics 20%.)
Am I qualified? ;)

I've been looking into psp dev, finding it hard to grasp with so little documentation. This forum could prove to be useful, can I have access?

quzar
October 31st, 2005, 02:20
The forum doesn't have any sort of documentation. It is meant for people who are already developers in order to discuss private betas and if things are ready for release.

Also, it's rarely used.

Regardless, you are not missing out much. The whole section is pretty dead.

Oh well. I still want a dev title or something along those lines. I guess it isn't a big deal though.

Ya, I think wraggster should be promoting the forum a bit more to get some people interested. Although theres another forum which I cannot mention here thats a little more interesting. :)

May I have access to the lua code section and the other dev section? I am currently learning c and c++, and to prove I really am a lua coder, I mod at forums.evilmana.com, Im very active at psp-programming.com and I'm working on SMPF, which the WIP thread can be found at pspu's dvelopment forum... You can ask members like zion or teamoverlord, they can verify I am a lua cooder ;)

You don't need coder's status to post a game. That is how you get coder's status ;). Just post it in the homebrew/emulation forum and attach it to your post and it will get newsposted or something (depending on what it is =P ).

IamAbe
October 11th, 2006, 11:15
i did that, still no coder status tho

quzar
October 11th, 2006, 12:33
dude... you have to give it a bit. It's not like it's scripted and done automatically. An admin has to see it and set it manually.

Me?
I certainly think this (http://tacticalpenguin.com/index.php?p=9) should qualify me. A handful of people can also attest to my scripting skills. If it doesn't, I'm working on another project now that, while not as impressive or difficult to make, will be much more polished and professional looking and possibly include some really need things involving networking.

New in dcemu been around the scene behind doors for half a year, starting "heroes project" intended to be a world of heroes and villians for psp where players get to choose a side with an elaborated storyline with a team of 4 storytellers of many role playing games systems, our intentions manage a 3rd person world capable supporting rpg and action gaming, and looking at making it work as a small mmorpg, supporting small player groups and hopefully with a little help from everyone around take a bigger step to be an mmorpg for psp, actually im studying movie production and have 2 years editing, been 6 years on music production and editing too, sudied computer cience about 9 years ago didnt make it to the end but got to the c part, i´ve been very interested in monkeys "iris", because thats the kind of engine we would like. its not yet determined if we´re going to work on a comic look game on 3rd person (vslide alike graphics) to reduce the pallete and taking advantage of our small 24 or another more advanced graphics. My intention of joining is besides getting a good support is forming an international team thats joins designers and coders to get the most impacting homebrew capable of getting the most of all the talented people here in dcemu. And looking forward to psp community the place it really has.

Axl_299
"Heroes Project"
History producer, creative in charge of history management of multiconnected server history and world sketching system for "Heroes Proyect"

P.d. Hope this gets to all the team out there in the forum coders, designers, and players.

I would like access to the developer's forum. I have just posted my first PSP release on the news access thread (Post (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=2148286166&postcount=30)). I am also working on a PSP port of Frotz and would like to get some input on it from the developer community.

Thanks for your consideration,
QBRADQ

Who is "us" are you working as a team?

Prove yourself (with something you've written) and you may be granted access.
