Copy the doom.wad file to the folder that doesnt have the % on it. This will be the way the folders are setup if your using Hide Corrupt data. And wtf are people still using Ksploit its ****ing outdated. Use Sei's or PSPbrew.

Heh, I do actually use Sei, I just thought it wasn't very popular so I said Ksploit so that people knew what I was talking about.

Anyway, yeh, i'll try your suggestion.

Now it's saying W_initFiles : No files found

WTf does that mean?

When you use Sei to install it are you selecting WHOLE FOLDER?

Because if you do it should install all the correct files in the correct places.

Make sure you have HIDE CORRUPT FILES turned OFF, I couldn't get it to work with that turned on.

Then once you have it working you can get some new WAD files for other version of doom, go see the DOOM/QUAKE area of the forum. You can post any other questions there too and I'll answer them.

It's still saying W_initFiles : No files found when I try loading it on the PSP.

And I even did what you said (selected the whole folder and unticked 'hide corrupted files').

I must be doing something wrong, i've looked on that Doom board but it's useless. I've searched on google to see if I can find a guide but i've had no luck, my only chance is to ask someone on these forums, you're the only person who seems to be helping.

Can you link me to what doom file I should download cause maybe I have downloaded the wrong file.

Why cant somebody just make this easier for people like me? :(

OK go here for the version of DOOM I use -

This is D-Pad DOOM for if you prefer to play on the D-Pad. I do but both versions work just fine -

http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/files/DPadDoom0%5B1%5D.04.zip

This is the regular version.

http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/files/DOOM-PSP-0.04.rar

Also make sure you are using the latest SEI -

http://www.psparchive.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,15,166

Then unzip all the DOOM files into a folder called "DOOM-PSP", the Zip file should do this for you. The folder will have the EBOOT in it along with a WADS and a SAVE folder.

Now open SEI and tell it the program is "DOOM-PSP" and then selct WHOLE FOLDER and select the folder called "DOOM-PSP" that you unzipped the zip file to.

Make sure you have HIDE CORRUPT DATA unselected and hit GENERATE. Once it's done go and test it.

Hopefully if all went right it should have worked, now you can use the LIST MANAGER tool in SEI to move the corrupt data to the bottom of your list.

Let me know if this works for you.

FINALLY!

It works!

Thanks alot Parabolee! I cant beleive it actually works!

Just one more question: Do I do this with all of the PSP games ie. PSPChess, PSPSnake etc?

I know how to do the other games like SNES, Gameboy etc.

THANKS ALOT!

No problem buddy.

Yep it's the same with them all, except you can usually hide the corupted files, which is much nicer.

Let me know when you are ready for some new WADS to play. Right now you only have the shareware version of DOOM1.
