Buying a DS in the USA

I am off to the USA next week and am looking at purchasing a DS whist over there taking advantage of the strength of the pound against the dollar.

My only concerns are that are DS truly region free, and how can I power the DS once I get it back home on the 240V??

Some of my games are from the US and they work on my UK Nintendo DS. So a US one would be able to run UK games on it.


As for the power supply, you could get a step down transformer so you can use the US charger in UK mains plugs at the the right voltage. More simple is just to buy another DS charger from a games store, like GAME.
