PSP GPS Help

I'm on firmware 3.52 m33-4 and basically, i'm in the UK , and so far, have only locked onto 2 sattelites at once. I'm told you need to lock on to at least 10 before you're permenently locked on (for the duration of the journey etc)

So whats the deal? Can i sort this out somehow?
