Not sure if this question has been answered. Or if there is an answer. But anything is better than nothing...

I have searched through just about all of the current and available PSP Mame rom versions to find a psp emulator that can play the mame .036 and higher Konami Arcade Clasics such as "X-Men" "The Simpsons" and "TMNT". After the long search the closest psp emulator I found was the konami "pspmame04_fix.zip" file.

1. I setup the roms and checked them with clrmamepro
2. Tested them with my windows pc mame emulator (work great)
3. Loaded the Konami PSPMame04 emulator to my mem card
4. Put the roms in the rom folder
5. Opened the PSPMame04 emulator (opened with no problems)
6. Clicked on the desired game from the rom list.
7. The program recognizes every file and loads through and then
I get this a black screen with a 1 line "_ sbrk_psp:overfllow!" error.
8. At this point (wiping the joy from my face) I restart my psp.

I tried searching the pspmame04 creator's japanese webpage (even translated the site to english) apparently
he quit on the project.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A SOLUTION?

I have observed this forum for a while now, and I am impressed by how psp mame programmers have created the possibilities of playable arcade versions of pacman to marvel vs capcom. These konami games have got me stumped and others on this forum seem to have an interest in these classic titles. If these games would have come out for a home console or portable console, I would gladly pay for them.

Unfortunately that is not the case...
Unfortunately I am not a programmer...otherwise I probably would have tried to figured this out already ...

Does anyone else feel the same way?
Is this a pointless discussion?
Did I miss the memo?

Whatever the case I wanna hear other opinions and maybe some solutions...

Thanks for Reading

Well Simpsons and Xmen still isnt possible on the psp. :(

...But the good news is TMNT now works quite well! :) Go here for the latest mame build: http://ttyman.free.fr/

'PSP MAME4ALL v4.9r2 Hires' runs most of the older mame games very well - Robocop, TMNT, Golden Axe, Ghost N Goblins, Street Fighter 1, Rolling Thunder, Ninja Warriros, POW, Bubble Bobble (and super bubble bobble :)), The Newzeland Story etc etc all run more a less perfect. If you cant run any of these games then its because you have the wrong versions of the roms and not the older versions (check the readme supplied with the emu for what ones to use - i think its the same ones as the gpx32).

TTYman seems to be on the case in updating his version of mame4all on the PSP fairly regularly, so I guess if you want some other classic games to eventualy work on the PSP he would be the guy to ask on his website?

I never thought we'd see TMNT, Bubble Bobble, Marvel Vs Capcom, Xmen Vs Street Fighter etc ever work on the psp... but thanks to NJ and TTyman we now are very lucky in what out hand helds can already do. I'm sure in time Simpsons and Xmen will grace the psp. :)
