As the description stated I need help with DLDI patching for Datel's 'Games n music' for the DS, similair to r4/m3.

http://uk.codejunkies.com/Products/Games-n-Music__NDS09.aspx

Basically what happens is that when I try to boot a .nds homebrew file or anything else the screen blanks and it doesn't boot. Ive downloaded and tried 2 DLDI drivers but I don't think this is the problem

When i try to patch homebrew using various tools found here,

http://dldi.drunkencoders.com/index.php?title=Category:Tools

including the right click (tried with both drivers) it says that patching is unsuccesfull as it "does not have a DLDI section"
I've searched extensively for solutions but I can't find any that have worked for me.

If anyone knows anything about this matter or possibly has found some useful information I would really appreciate it. If it is definitely not possible at this time then I'd be grateful if you could tell me.
Thanks.

I have also tried using the organiser file to patch from the DS itself, but this didnt work either

The homebrew file needs to support DLDI before you can patch it. Exactly what are you trying to launch?

That's what i was thinking too, just wasn't sure
Well I've tried several files frm here
www.ndshb.com
including the Darkstar darkainMX app
and the spout DS game, along with several things I shouldn't have been trying to play if you know what I mean.

Most of the files on NDSHB are from 2006 or earlier, and anything compiled before 2007 will have no DLDI support at all, as DLDI was first created Christmas 2006. Try a different file, one that actually needs access to the filesystem in order to run.

Those older homebrew files are also somewhat likely to only work on older devices anyway. See http://dragonminded.blogspot.com/2007/07/updated-loading-stub.html and http://dragonminded.blogspot.com/2007/07/games-music-compatibility.html with some info on how to get booting from within DSO to work correctly. It may help, may not.

Also, only homebrew has support for DLDI, and the GnM can launch only homebrew files in the first place.

thankyou very much, this really helped. Yeah i tried some newer homebrew files and they worked.
I might invest in an M3 or R4 then as it seems that the GnM has a few limits the M3 and R4 don't.
thanks
