Ok I was looking at a local store here where I live (Tucson, AZ) and found 2 PSP's with Version 1.50 Firmware. I checked them myself.

They want 200 a piece and are a local seller only. I am not sure if there are to many ppl here. I am willing to help those looking for a PSP 1.50 to play homebrew on.

They both came with assesorys (charger etc) one came in the box the other did not.

I thought this might interest a few ppl. I can give you the number of the store that has them, they will only hold them for a day but like i said I will help anyone who needs it.

On these PSP's I could not check for dead pixels or battery problems, etc but they both seemed clear and fine. They may come with memory cards (I imagine they do but I did not check).

Again its called Bookmans on Grant Rd in Tucson, AZ. Electronics Department. The close in an hour or two so you can check now if you want.

I too, have just found a GameStop selling 4 1.50 PSP's for 200 each also. I couldn't check them personally, but the person I talked to on the phone (a real friend of mine), said that they are all 1.50 and can all do homebrew. The store is located in Dallas, Texas, and they also do not transfer psp's to other gamestops.

here's a phone number to their store: (972)699-7711. They are most likely closed now, as it is 10:30 here.

The Toys R Us where I live has a whole shipment of them still in stock, but I don't think there are many canadian users on these forums. I feel bad for my friend because he just bought a PSP from EB Games and it game with 1.5.1 firmware :(. I wish everyone luck in finding a 1.5, but I know there are still quite a few out there.

I would say for those people out there familiar with Wal-Mart. Check them...especially if they have the ones with the Spiderman 2 UMD in it. If not..check a Wal-mart in another town thats got a smaller population. I know in a town where I just moved from..they had a lot left..all with the spiderman 2 umd's. And other surrounding towns had tons as well. (the south just doen't catch up to other places as fast..lol

i hope they survive for a few more weeks. im getting my psp back from sony repair in a week or two, and i dunno if it will still have 1.5 on it when it gets back. or if they'll even send me a new one since i dropped it and its not a defect...
i just might have to buy a new one and sell the old...or stick witha 2.0
anyone ever see any that lives in california? the place i got mine(toys r us) had 1.51's since the beggining of july

So true :D
Here I am in Florida (technically not a part of the South, cuz of all those damn tourists), just bought another 1.5 at a WalMart this morning. Since not many people I know buy their stuff at WalMart, it's a wise choice if you're in the market for a new 1.5 PSP. And if its not a 1.5, just return it, the WalMart staff either won't know, or won't care. :)

the voltage on the outside of the box
Underneath it
If it has an "A" it's the 1.50
If it has a "B" don't get it

if it has an "A", or if its blank underneath the 120v... its 1.5

I bought my 1.5 from a Gamestop in the Bay Area in California. This was maybe 3 days ago. They're nice enough to tell you it's the ones that play emulation.
