hello sorry for the noob question, i assume that it either cannot, or there is no such "software" yet

If we go into USB mode, the PSP will be usb slave. So when the PC transfer files, the PSP will have a driver/controller to write the data to the memory stick.

And if my PC asks for the memorystick's info, like freespace, the PSP will have somekind of controller/driver to read that information, and pass to the PC.

So, is it possible that a homebrew, loads somekind of USB driver master driver/controller to tell the PSP to read data from USB drive? (connectd to psp's usb port)

Another question, is there somekind of portable drive/device that can "serve" files in its storage wirelessly (WLAN)? so, is it possible to read ISO from there? or it will be just impossibly slow?

Last Question, is there a device that acts as "fake" memory stick? Like, I stick it in the PSP memorystick slot, and it actually connects to USB Drive or other types of drives?

These two are respectively USBHOSTFS and NETHOSTFS.

I think they let you play games via usb and over wifi. It sounds really neat, but it looks a little buggy. And I'm not entirely sure it does what it says it does, never tried it myself.

As for your last question why would you want to do that? If it's to try to change to flash settings you could use Toggle USB (http://dl.qj.net/Toggle-USB-Flash2-3-Special-System-v0.2-PSP-Homebrew-Applications/pg/12/fid/13934/catid/151) which lets you modify Flash 2/3 and your memory stick. That may be useful for what you're trying to do.

I'm not sure if there is anything like what you want in your first question. It sounds like it might be something you would eventually have to hard mod...then again I'm not sure.

Btw, these aren't noob questions at all, they are very good ones. (It got me interested in some of these plugins to say the least. :D)

nethost and usbhost are the ones you would like to use...

I've done usbhosting my builds from my pc to my computer ( which is easier than just trying to copy over and reboot psp ) and i know USBhosting works great :)

HOWEVER! if you are wanting to connect your PSP to a external HDD... then you are out of luck

both harddrive and psp act as slaves....the only way your going to get the files to work is via a controller to act as the host of the 2 slaves.

I was once working on a project that could unit both psp to a external HDD, but since i dont know many people that would use it...i decided to hold off until later ( and when i have time to write a new driver for the 2 to recognize... )

Thanks for Everything,
